With social distancing making it difficult to connect with family, friends, and colleagues many of us have learned new ways to keep in touch this year thanks to technology. However, adhering to safety guidelines have led to our senior parents and grandparents in assisted living facilities getting limited interaction. With many activities cancelled and visiting hours limited, the senior citizens in our local community would love to hear from you!
At Beacon Lake, we’ve partnered with Westminster Woods on Julington Creek, a Jacksonville area nursing home, to match our residents with seniors looking for a pen pal! Once you sign up for this program by completing the form below, you will be emailed over a list of over 60 names of residents looking for a pen pal, along with some ideas on what they’d love to hear about and instructions on where to send your letters!
